Jason K Benson was elected as Business Representative for Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 20 for the Indianapolis Area on July 10, 2010, after serving three years as an appointed Organizer for the Indianapolis, Lafayette, Evansville and Terre Haute Areas.  

Jason was born on January 1975 in Muncie, Indiana, where he graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1993.  He attended Ivy Tech State College, studying Sheet Metal and Industrial Technology, and specialized in HVAC/R.  He and his wife Stephanie have two children.  

Jason became a member of Sheet Metal Workers in November 1999, serving his Apprenticeship from March 2000 to 2005.  He has served on the Indy Steering Committee for the 2002 and 2005 Negotiations, as well as the Allocations Committee in 2007.

In his free time, Jason enjoys playing Golf.  He is also a Deacon Member of the Sixth Street Christian Church.
