Eric M. Clawson, Business Representative of the Lafayette Area, was born June 30, 1956 in Lafayette Indiana.  He and his wife Debra have been married for 32 years, and have three children, Shawn, Brian and Derek.  Eric is a graduate of Delphi Community High School, and received his Associate Degree in Applied Sciences from Indiana Vocational Technical College.

            Eric became a member of Sheet Metal Workers in May of 1977, serving his Apprenticeship from May 1977 through May 1981.  He was an Apprenticeship Instructor for nine years from 1981 through 1990.  Eric was a part of the Negotiating Committee in 2002

            Eric has been a BSA Scoutmaster for twelve years, and Frontier Little Gridiron Coach for 14 years.  His hobbies include fishing, making homemade maple syrup, and enjoying his grandchildren (Exavier and Aubre) grow up.
